City Directories

City Directories, Telephone Books and County Directories do not circulate, but are available for viewing and photocopying at the New York State Library. Typical listings show the head of household, their address and occupation. If you're searching for a year of death, the city directories can be a great resource. Also, learning about occupations and other family members close by can lead to other avenues of research. Some listings will reveal the month a person either died or moved away, along with the new location. My fee includes photocopies and postage.

Search fees: $40.00 per hour with a one hour minimum (includes copies and postage). Payment methods: check, money order, PayPal credit.
